Marc Locatelli
Candidate for the TGR Board of Directors
Background

I have worked as a commercial airline pilot for more than 30 years and currently serve as a captain. Aviation is an industry built around written procedures, regulatory compliance, recurrent training, careful documentation, and independent judgment. The work requires listening to different perspectives, evaluating the available information, and making sound decisions when the answer is not always convenient or obvious.

Those principles shape the way I approach POA governance. I believe important decisions should be authorized, consistent, financially responsible, properly documented, and capable of withstanding reasonable scrutiny.

Sound judgment also requires humility. Not every decision will prove to be the right one. A director should make the best decision possible based on the information reasonably available, explain the reasoning behind it, and be willing to revisit that decision when new information emerges.

For the past several years, I have studied how the Texas Grand Ranch POA operates. I have reviewed budgets, contracts, policies, governing documents, Association records, and Architectural Review Committee practices. I have submitted records requests, examined financial information, and attended or watched seminars and webinars addressing Texas POA law and Association operations. I built that knowledge deliberately because anyone asking to help govern an organization should first make a serious effort to understand it.

I am running because I care about TGR and want to help improve an already-great community. My purpose is not to weaken the POA or oppose every decision. It is to help create systems that make good decisions easier, provide owners with useful information, support the volunteers who serve, and earn confidence through competence and accountability.
